What is Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation?
Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation classes are a crucial part of recovery and prevention if you have suffered a cardiac event or have attended the NHS Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase III programme. The program reinforces positive lifestyle changes and supports participation in becoming active and healthy in a friendly and safe environment.
Our classes are led by a fully qualified Cardiac Rehab Specialist Exercise Instructor, who has undergone extensive training through BACPR (British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation). Phase IV classes are supervised and held at: Sunnyside Barn, Dunnings Road RH19 4AT.
Drop in £10 or £8 for a block of 6. This is a non-time-restricted booking.
Community-based Cardiac Rehabilitation (Phase 4) provides people with known coronary heart diseases (myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass graft, percutaneous coronary intervention, and stable angina) the possibility to benefit from weekly supervised exercise sessions. People who are eligible include those who have participated in Cardiac Rehabilitation programmes and those who meet certain medical criteria and have been assessed by their GP. People often talk about the sense of camaraderie that develops over time between participants. For them, Cardiac Rehabilitation seems to provide more than just exercise, allowing people the opportunity to share experiences; make new friends; and socialise. If you are interested in joining and don't have a cardiac condition, please feel free to contact me.
